What does breast augmentation involve?
Breast implants are used in surgery to increase volume or change breast shape. Augmentation and a breast lift are different procedures. Discuss your goal, alternatives and the option of no surgery with a surgeon; a particular appearance cannot be guaranteed.
Assessment before you confirm travel
Discuss your medical history, previous operations, medicines, smoking and pregnancy or breastfeeding plans with the surgeon. They decide which tests are needed and whether surgery is suitable. A WhatsApp conversation cannot confirm eligibility. Rihla coordinates the visit; we do not diagnose or select implants.
Choosing a surgeon and facility
Before committing, request the surgeon’s name, specialty, licence, operating facility and anaesthesia arrangements. Ask about experience, the response to complications and clinical contact after you leave. Read our provider selection approach. A proposed provider is confirmed for each enquiry; we do not list unconfirmed partners.
Questions about the implant
Ask about the fill, surface, size, placement and incision, and why each choice fits your assessment. Request the manufacturer’s details, device documentation and implant card for your records. Discuss future monitoring. A description such as “premium implant” should never replace identification of the actual device.
How much does surgery in Tehran cost?
We do not publish a fixed surgical price before assessment, implant selection and the facility’s plan. Request a written estimate separating implants, surgeon, anaesthesia, facility, tests, medicines and reviews, including the financial arrangements for additional procedures. Rihla coordination fees are separate from surgery. Hotel, transport and meals are also separate expenses.
Planning the journey
Begin with a general enquiry so we can check assessment arrangements. After the surgeon, plan and costs are explained, appointments and accommodation are coordinated as agreed. Establish postoperative reviews and a return plan before confirming travel. Do not base a non-changeable return ticket on the coordination package duration alone.
Time in Tehran and recovery
Recovery can take weeks and is different from the required stay in Tehran. Your surgeon determines review timing, readiness to travel and return to activity. A week of coordination is not a promise of recovery or permission to fly within a week. Discuss luggage, work, exercise and practical help after surgery.
Risks and realistic expectations
Risks include infection, bleeding, scarring, sensation changes, tightening of tissue around the implant, rupture and further surgery. Implants are not lifetime devices. Rare risks include implant-associated lymphoma, BIA-ALCL, reported more often with textured surfaces. Discuss the particular device’s risks and possible effects on breastfeeding with the surgeon.
Follow-up after you return
Obtain written instructions, implant details and a clinical contact. Agree who will provide examinations and follow-up in your home city and what they cost. Contact a medical provider about unexpected symptoms; our administrative coordination does not replace assessment or local emergency services.
Do I need to send photographs initially?
No. Start with the service, home city and approximate travel dates. Do not send intimate photographs in the first enquiry. If a doctor needs images or documents, first clarify the recipient, purpose, appropriate sharing method and your consent. This website does not accept medical file uploads.
How do I request a female companion?
Mention your preference for a female companion and your language when preparing your WhatsApp enquiry. Choosing a female companion has no additional charge. Attendance hours are agreed in advance; support beyond that scope is discussed separately.
Sources and editorial information
This is general planning information, not personal medical advice or a clinical review of your case. Editorial information draws on NHS — Breast enlargement and FDA — Breast implant risks. These sources explain the procedure and risks; citing them does not imply endorsement of our services or approval of a particular device for use in Iran.
