Entry and flights: what needs confirmation?
Check entry requirements with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for your nationality, passport type and visit purpose; do not apply tourism conditions to every medical visit. Before paying, ask the airline to confirm the route, airport, times and change terms. Check the official Imam Khomeini Airport source for your Tehran flight updates. An announced route or exemption does not confirm seat availability or every traveller’s eligibility. Keep confirmations to recheck before departure.
Contact and your airport-to-hotel journey
Save the hotel and clinic addresses in Persian, contact numbers with country codes, flight number and meeting point where you can read them offline. Before travel, ask your mobile operator about roaming coverage and charges, or ask the local operator about SIM purchase documents, activation and a data plan. Do not assume internet access or WhatsApp will work immediately on arrival; agree a backup contact method. Confirm the transfer price and currency and whether waiting, parking, luggage and accompanying people are included.
